In the space that once was Senior Swanky’s, is a swanky wine bar/ restaurant brought to you by Sergio and Mario Riva (of Candela, The Diner, Irving Mill and La Follia), AJ Bontempo and Suzanne Riva.
The wine list is heavily new world in approach (easy to drink, juicy)… on first visit it seemed to lack some complexity) with few hidden gems. More on list and prices to come.
Andrew Kraft (formerly of Six Street Kitchen) has composed a menu that is a “spin on classic Italian — reimagined and retwisted”… featuring small plates, salads, bruschettes, using a wood-burning oven for pizzas, making handmade pastas (like tagliatelle and lasagna) and serving several larger entrees.
The bar has two levels, with a bar in the sizable main room downstairs, and another bar, seating and private party area upstairs. Many a wine group is found tasting it up in this more of a cocktail lounge space called the ”Living Room.”
