Tarallucci e Vino is modeled on the traditional Italian Bar. This is the smaller, more Italian coffee shop version of 2 outposts in NYC (the other is near Union Square). Softly lit brick walls and supple Latin music welcome sophisticated patrons for Abruzzian wine and espresso. More than 30 vintage and largely muscular choices from Italy and Spain – including a sparkling red Lambrusco – are enjoyed along with a panini, cheese plate or by itself. Along with the namesake vino and tarallucci (the savory semolina cookies that accompany wine) you can sample an iced espresso vigorously shaken in authentic Italian fashion or a rich hot chocolate.
